This is perhaps the most widely used ensemble. It is a full, vibrant sound that can fill a large cathedral, but, subtle enough as to not get in the way of your important event. This ensemble can do all of the traditional and contemporary music on our list It includes 2 violins, viola, and cello.
String Trio
This is a very versatile ensemble in that it provides you with your choice of inner voice, either violin, or viola. This will be slightly less full of a sound than the string quartet, but is still quite elegant and stylish. There is less repertoire for trio than for quartet.
String Duo
This ensemble is perfect for smaller events, where there is limited space. The string duo will consist of violin and cello. It is a much more intimate sound than the quartet or trio. Many traditional favorites can be done with a duo, however, the list of contemporary music is much smaller than for a quartet or trio.
Solo Violin or Cello
Have the elegance of solo violin or cello at your event. Repertoire is more limited than that of the ensembles, however, a solo instrument can make a bold statement and add vibrance to your event. Because of the complexity of contemporary music, it is generally not available for solo instruments.
